The stallion patiently stood and looked out at the two kingdoms of his siblings, each in turn. He was on land that belonged to no one, land that was still there for the taking but land that had to stay free of bonds and ownership. He was there to keep it that way and it was something that he took quite seriously, he would not let his brother get this land. The breeze played at his tassles and he knew that his mother was passing by him, comforting him with the knowledge that she would always be there for him, to help him if he needed it. He blew out his nose, almost like a sigh but not quite as he turned towards his own home. He had no herd, it wasn't something that he longer for, he was a loner even though you could easily get along with him at most times. He was walking, his long tail dragging on the ground but for some reason not getting dirty, his mane hung rather low as well. His strange light purple eyes that always seemed to change when he was in the presence of another, almost as if he did not want to scare them with the colour. His eyes were quite unique, it allowed him to see anyone at any time that he chose, it was a gift his mother had given him so that he would be able to keep an eye on his siblings no matter where he was. He could do more than just that too, he could travel faster than any mortal or immortal horse when he needed to, moving so fast that one could not see him. He knew that there was more that he could do but he rarely ever payed attention to any powers other than that of his sight, it was all he really needed unless his siblings did decide to wreak havoc among themselves and others.

Small flicka scrambled about, trying to free herself of the brambles that had imprisoned her. Gambolling along, she had takenno notice of her surroundings. Focusing more upon the wildlife she had been frolliking after. Now, brambled with their harsh thorns, entangled her long legs. Grunting with frustration and effort, the flicka chewed at the spiky vines. Scratches apeared, colouring quickly with crimson liquid. They were naught but scratched but they stung. She continued to fight it, fighting to free herself and her strugles caused her to become more and more wound up. Eventually her movements were restricted untill the slight creature toppled over and ionto the pathway. Happening upon the pathway was a large and elegant stallion. Falling upon the path before him, the filly continued in her struggles, the vines slowly loosening. Footfalls filled her harks and surprised the filly looked at the set of long legs in her view. Travelling up them she took in the impressive sight of the stallion. Optics grew wide and mug twitched in embarressment. Kicking her legs, she finally freed herself. Turning, she lay on her side, covered in dust and one vine still looped around one slender hind leg. Half in awe, half in surprise she stood and looked up at the large titan

The stallion stopped only a few inches from the filly and he lowered his head to hers, blowing out softly as he breathed in and out. "Good day to you, young one." His voice was gentle and friendly, almost like a song as he spoke to her. He was smiling somewhat in a friendly way but his face looked thoughtful though intelligent as he watched her. His eyes had changed it's purple colour to become a deep brown colour that radiated warmth and comfort when he looked at you. He had seen her struggle with the brambles but he had left her to fight them herself, he had no wish to interfere in her lesson from nature. She was young and she would have to learn for herself which things she needed to stay clear of, it was not his place to interfere and so he would not do so. He did not lift his head after speaking but kept it low, near her own small face, his breath would caress her cheek as he awaited an answer.

Still the flicka looked up in wonder yet as he lowered his dial to hers, she leveled her own tiara and looked into his orbs. When they changed, her own amber optics grew wider and brighter. His warm breath carressed her cheek and she snapped out of it. He spoke to her and, along with his pools, his voice was warm and friendly. She lay there watching him. A shy smile crept to her features Goo...Good..Day to you Sir She knew it was right to call him Sir, yet did not know why. He was of importance, that she was sure. Looking around, catching sight of the bundle of mess she was and the bundle of mess she had draged out onto the path. Kicking out fiercly, she freed her hind leg. Her strange amber hoof caught the ripple of sunlight streaming through the canopy of trees and gleamed off the polished foot. Looking back to the tall stallion the flicka spoke again I'm terribly sorry. I didnt mean to cause a mess. Honest she bumbled out her apologies, like her mother had taught her, in her sweet, high voice.

The stallion's smile was a dismissing one as he gently shook his head at her apologies. They were not needed for what purpose did brambles have ut to catch hold of young horses and trap them, making them a mess. He lifted his head and looked up at the path ahead, going straigh and then disappearing eventually into a wall of trees. He lowered his head again to hers. "Why don't you come with me.." He asked her in his gentle voice, he knew of a stream not too far ahead where she could clean herself up if she wished to do so. It might make her feel better about being in his presence even though it seemed that she did not quite know who he was. She would learn about him later and then she might change the way she thought of him, if she got to know him first though she would have the knowledge of whether the things said about him were true or not. No one really knew of him, he was there and yet not there. Always somewhere but never able to be found, unless by accident like the fill yhad found him by accident caused by the brambles.

Following his gaze she looked down the path then back at the stallion. Her occs clowded over with her thoughts before eventually she nodded with a small smile. Unfolding her long legs, the flicka pulled herself up straight and gently shook herself. Dust and leaves floated from her coat and lay upon the ground once more. She still felt a little nervous in his presence but he seemed nice and there was comfort being with him too. Maybe thats why she felt a little unnerved. It was quickly fading though and taking a deep breath in for courage, the filly spoke again My....my name is Iti Koha......Mother used to just call me Koha. she had been looking up at him, then the flicka looked at her amber hooves as she spoke her next sentence But, you can call me whatever you like. Whatever is easier giving a shrug, Iti Koha looked back up at the titan and gave another smile. She didnt mind if he didnt want to tell her his name. She was being polite, and making sure she was makng a good impression. Gingerly testing her pillars, the small creature took a few steps toward wher ethe stallion had directed

The stallion nodded as she told him her name, he would call her Koya as her mother had. Names didn't mean much to him anyway. As she started walking in the direction that he had been looking he followed as well as directed at the same time. Even though they were following the path that had been made by other creatures at the moment they would have to get off it soon and travel along the wall of trees. He broke off the path, giving the filly only a nudge to tell her to follow him as he broke into an easy slow cater that she would be able to keep up with. He went along the wall off trees, no sound of water could be heard even though there was a small stream just up ahead of them.

They continued along before the stallion nudged her and attention was directed to where he was going. She followed obediantly and trusting, her long legged strides enabling her to keep up with with his easy canter. They traveled along the wall of trees, and the Koha took a chance to take a quick look. The ancient beings were pleasing to look at. She had always felt at one with the earth as well as mother nature. Except brambles. She turned her head back in the direction they were travelling. She could not hear water but there came a fant scent of the refreshing liquid. The gait was easy and she was not tiring yet she could do with a drink and a splash

The stallion's strides slowed until it slowed into an easy jog. Almost no sound came as his hooves collided with soft earth, impact went unheard and it was somewhat strange for two horses could be seen but only one heard. His head wasn't held high like some horses in his position might be, he kept it at a lever hight and always lowered it to the hight of the one that he was speaking to out of an act of politeness and fairness unless it was needed for him not to do so. He stopped at the small streat, it's width that of two grown horses side by side and it's length stretching from both ends of the earth. The water of the stream was clear, clear enough for the small pebbles at it's bottom to be seen through the slight waves created by the unknown force that pulled the waters all in the same direction. He lowered his head to take a nice long drink, not paying any attention to the filly and offering her privacy and freedom to do whatever she wished. He did not own her after all.

She watched the stallion as they travelled. Her own amber flints thudded dully upon he sod yet he seemed to make no noise. She knew it was rude to stare but she couldnt help it. He was so different from any horse she had ever known. The stallions of her own herd, including her own sire, had been a proud and powerful bunch. Always full of themselves and boasting about them and their strength. It was true that they strutted around showing it off. This stallion had the air of being powerful and superior yet he was humble and polite. SHe liked that. She didnt feel so small and insignificant because of her age and size. When they reached the water the stallion halted and drank. After a moment the filly tentativly stepped into the cool, running water. The crystal clear water ran over her small, amber flints, causing them to shine like stones. Entering the water fully, she looked around before lowering her mug to the fresh liquid. Taking a few sips to quench the thirsty itch, the filly then stuck her whole mug in the rushing water and started blowing bubbles. Koha giggled at the sound that the combination of the rushing water mixed with blowing bubbles made. Lowering herself to her knees, the filly submerged her slight body in the water. The pebbles shifted beneath her weight as she rolled. Eventually she was soaked, her coat glistening with its multiple colours. Shaking the dripping water from her bodice, she straightened up and took another drink, blowing more bubbles in the process

He didn't look her way as she started blowing bubbles but he knew what she was doing. He could hear the bubbles being created in the water. He would wait until she was done in the water before paying attention to her again. He turned and started grazing on the lush grass that grew around the small stream.

It took a moment for her to realise that the stallion had left the water. Taking another few sips of the sweet liquid the flicka stepped up onto the bank. Her front hooves dug into the sand and she took another moment to shake her bodice again. It was a harder shake, for she wished to dry quicker. So with optics shut the flicka shook her bodice hard. Because her pools were shut, the flicka never noticed the sheets of sand moving ether side of her planted daggers, as if it was being pushed by an unseen force. Iti Koha finished shaking and opened her eyes, stepping up the bank and onto the grassy flat. The flicka nibbled at the emerald blades before lifting her tiara, her brown harks flicking back and forth listening to the call of the birds

The stallion was silently staring at her, he had felt and seen the earth move about her, moving as she shook herself. His expression could not be read as he kept staring at her, whether she noticed it or not. He shook his head after a while as if he did not quite believe it. He wondered whether the filly knew of what she could do or whether it had been merely an accident.

Koha looked to the stallion, wondering why he stared at her. SHe looked around quickly yet found nothing out of place. She had not noticed the small shifting of earth for when she shook herself the whole world seemed to move. It had only been a small shift and she had not been paying attention. Looking back to the large titan, a question suddenly popped into her mind. Most stallions she knew had a territory and herd. Do you live here? she asked, curiosity bubbling in her vocals

He stopped staring, forcing his attention away from her and only paying enough not to sound rude. "I live nowhere and everywhere. I have a home but I am rarely ever there." He said starting to graze again. He knew then that she didn't know about what she could do.[/blockquote]

Also going back to grazing, the flicka mulled over what the stallion had said. She didnt know what he had meant and tried to figure it out I dont have a home anymore she spoke to the grass before her nose. She did not mean anything in saying it, Koha was just saying it because it was true. She blinked before looking at him again and giving another one of her small smiles

The stallion smiled back at her, knowing that she had not meant anything by what she had said. As he pulled at a piece of grass and bit it off his eyes went the light purple that it had been again. It seemed to suit him perfectly, but then, so did the deep brown that it sometimes was as well. He hoped that the filly didn't see it because she might get uncomfortable again and he didn't want that. He only needed to see what his brother was up to and then he could stop, maybe he needed to find his mother too. She would be able to help the filly with her power so that she might understand it a bit more and know how to use it at will. But his mother was and awfully busy mare and would not be able to get here.

The flicka had still been watching the stallion and had seen his pools fade back to the light purple hue. She liked the colour purple. Once she had stumbled across a cave with lovely purple amethyst stones embedded in the walls. Since she had already know about his eyes, it wasnt so shocking. Yet it still amazed her. Blinking with a slight lack jaw she shook her dial WOW! How did you do that?! I saw it before. Its like magic! her bright and bubbly voice emitting in a rush. Her amber orbs were wide and bright. Koha wondered if the stallion was a magical being or if he knew magic. She did not wish to ask, incase he got angry. Besides, she thought she had blurted out enough

He looked up at her and the purple slowly turned into a deep brown, the colours swirling around in his orbs together before the purple finally melted away and left only the deep brown there. "It is magic." He smiled at her. It was a good thing that she did not mind the change of colour in his kind and thoughtful orbs for it might make her feel quite uncomfortable at times when he was seeing things that were quite awful. He waited for her reaction to the fact that it was magic, she clearly did not know that she to could use magic.

She watched, enthralled, as his pools changed before her. The colours swirled before setting on the warm brown. The flicka trembled all over with excitment, first at his talk about magic second because he had not been mad at her, but accepting. She had not meant to be so nosy but magic thrilled her. Koha did not know why but it sent electric sparks through her body, her blood bubbling at the very thought of magic. How she wished she could do magic. She was so ignorant to her own gift, the one she yearned for the most and she already had. I didnt mean to interup anything Sir she said humbly but I thought it was magic, and I have always believed there to be magic somewhere. Truthfully.....it she stuttered with the words slightly It interest me alot she nearly said that it excites her but she wanted to sound more mature. She looked to him, all the respect she had had for him before multiplied. He knew magic, she was sure of it.
