The small colourful creature flew up onto the filly's back and settled herself comfortably on it, ready for some sleep. As soon as she fell asleep she disappeared but the filly sould still be able to feel her there on her back as a reassuring protective bundle in a deep slumber. The stallion watched as Spud disappeared, he knew that the creature would get lonely soon but he couldn't create another creature like her unless there was someone else for him to protect and then, even that creature would be different. She was one of a kind, completely different from anything else in the world. He knew that the filly would not sleep yet as he could see the new energy in her. He too was tireless, he could not be tired, did not need sleep or even food for that matter even though he did sleep and eat. He would wait until the filly was asleep before he would talk to his mother. She visited him every night, when no one else was there with him. He was her connection to those that were mortal, she did not appear to his siblings unless they had done something that deserved being punished for, only then did they get to see their mother.

Watching happily as Spud chose to rest upon her back Koha did not even flinch at her friends dissapearence. It somehow seemed natural and right. It was strange, with the feeling of Spud in a protective bundle fast asleep, Koha also grew sleepy. Yawning, the filly gently shook her head. Lids drooped once more followed by her pretty head. Blowing through her nose, the filly watched her warm breath shift the sand. It reminded her of what she could do. She was proud of what she could do. Reaching into the back of her mind she cloaked herself with concentration before pulling forth those blood bound powers. The sand shifted again, but this time by the force of magic. It seemed easier each time she tried, as long as she wasnt tired. She would be able to acomplish even more soon enough but for the moment she was happy to shift the sand and watch it roll. Collecting it in a small pile, the flicka broke her concentration and blew her warm air from her twitching nares to topple her creation. Yawning once more, she switched her gaze to the stallion Magic sure wears you out she said happily, lowering her dial over her forleg I think i might have a little sleep she yawned again and her lids hid her bright amber pools. A few seconds and her breathing had fallen into a regualr pattern. Suddenly stirring the flicka became wide awake, or so it seemed. Signs of sleepiness was clear upon her features, in her eyes. Yet she focused her gaze on the stallion once more before parting her kissers to let sleepy, sweet vocals pour forth Thank you no sooner were her words released then her head dropped down and she fell into her slumber once again

The stallion smiled at her words but in truth he did not know how it felt to have the use of magic wear you out and make you tired. He had never known the feeling of tiredness. He could not, neither had he ever felt hunger before. It sadened him that such things had to be given up just because he was who he was. He turned his back on the filly and watched the spot in front of him, his eyes returning to it's purple colour. The mare appeared before him in all her beauty. The mare gave a nod of greeting as she appeared before her son. She walked around him to the filly, looking at her and nodding her acceptance and approvement. She nuzzled the filly, if the filly woke up then she would see the mare but she would just look like a ghost, a fignment of her sleepy imagination. She spoke to her son without words, he knew what she meant and she knew what he meant even though they made no movement.

Through her sleep and dreams, Koha felt the warms of anothers touch, a familiar feeling of being nuzzled in an affectionate way. Yet this was different to her mothers, and different to her dreams. It was a real touch yet it had a powerful warmth and sweetness to it. Vibes of purity, power, and love were strong coming with the touch. The warmth flowed within the filly and she shuffled slightly, arching her boa subconciously to the touch. One lid sleepily lifted to a halway point yet her amber orbs held an unfocused gaze and all the flicka saw before drifting back off to sleep was a image of beauty and serealness. The comforting wieght of Spud and the comforting touch of the other soon had Koha wandering through the sweetest of dreams that a horse could ever have

The stallion watched as his mother disappeared and he waited for the filly to wake up, standing there with his eyes open and his head in it's usual position with no need for sleep.

Hours past before the little filly woke up. Lids fluttered open and head was raised. She yawned and stretched her boa before looking to the stallion and giving him a grin. Then, turning her skull, the little fae nudged the warm mass on her back that she knew to be Spud. It was a gentle and loving gesture, and even though she did not wish to wake the little creature, her body was cramping and needed to be stretched.

"You can move, she won't wake up." The stallion's voice had an angry tinge to it, he was standing in the shadows as the sun rose and his eyes were purple. He was frowning as he stared at nothing in particular but seeing something that the filly coul dnot. She could see it if she wanted, he could let her see it too but she would not really understand it. Something was happening, his sister Shabri was going to cause trouble and he knew it, she would also meet a new friend. That was for sure, and they would definitely get along and like each other, after a fight maybe. He was looking at the near feature, just seeing what might happen so that he might prepare for it.

Koha nodded watching him as she caught the anger hint. Carefully, she rose upon stilts and stretched out her body, finishing with a little shake. She could see the purple shining within his orbs and wondered what he was seing with them. For surly they did not just change colours to look pretty. Silence was held as she watched him. She grazed a little but made sure not to make much noise

Slight growling sound came from the shape of the stag that stood in the shadows, it was almost the sound that would come from an angry wolf. It was as if he had forgotten the filly as he stood there and watched the future, the future that he could and would need to change so that no conflict would happen between the other two kingdoms. All muscles were now tense, as if anticipating the arrival of action, of something to do after the time that it had been waiting. He wouldn't do anything until he needed to though.

The young fae recoiled slightly, though not in fear but in shock. Never had she heard a horse sound like that. Koha had heard wolves and that is what the stallion sounded like. Moving slowly from his line of sight, the flicka stood to the side and watched. She made as little noise as she possible could and stood, semi concealed within her own shadows as she watched the stallion, as he watched events she could not see. The slight wriggling of nerves tickled her tummy but the comforting weight of Spud still sleeping upon the dip of her back gave her a large amount of comfort and bravery. So she stood and waited, in complete silence, making no sound except for the faint, soft sound of each breath

There was the sound of thunder and the shapes of two horses visible in the darkness. Fire was taking over everything around them as they ran and tried to hide. The sight that the stallion could see spread out before him, it was happening here, in this place that he stood. He lifted his head and emerged slightly from the shadows as he looked around him at the ruins that were there. A place that was no longer part of a beautiful world but a place that was destroyed and ugly. There was no wanter in the stream that was there now, no trees in the forest that was behind him, there was no grass on the meadow that streatched out in front of him. There was nothing but rock and fires, making the place grey, black and dark orange. He snorted in disgust as he took all this in, in his mind this was what was happening now, he did not know about the filly or Spud for the moment. He looked up, trying to find the two horses that he had seen earlier but they were hidden somewhere behind the boulders even though they could not know that he was there. But then they emerged, there was a small creature there, with a black horse. She turned and looked straight at the stallion, she could see him! The stallion looked suprised for a moment and stepped backwards, he knew who it was that he saw now. Not the horses but the little creature. He knew what he was seeing too. The two horses kept running, away from him, taking the little creature with them. There was a white mare with the black horse. Something about them seemed familiar but the stallion wasn't sure what it was or why he felt he knew them. The little creature seemed to be talking to the black horse. They didn't get far before they both came to a stop and turned, looking straight at him just as the creature had done. Something was wrong, this was not supposed to happen, they aren't supposed to be able to see him! He backed up even more but the voice still came to him, dry and fearful, "Help Us!". And then the image disappeared completely. The stallion's eyes went deep brown again as he reared up, trying to get the image back, he needed to know how he could help them, why he knew them and why they needed his help. He also needed to know why they could see him when they weren't supposed to be able to. Something told him that they were superior horses, they he did know them but he didn't know why or how. He had known the little creature, it too had looked quite sad with little sapphire tears streaming down her face. The sight made tears come to the stallion's own eyes as he lowered his head after coming down from his rear. Sweat was dripping from his tensed body as he breathed like a horse that had just galloped a distance too long for it to really be possible. He still did not pay attention to the filly, that's how much this image was troubling him. He knew what he had seen but how much of it was actually going to happen and how nuch would he actually be able to stop from happening. He didn't even know how much time he had to find this out and to help the two horses that he had seen.

The stallions reactions sent a small chill of fear travelling down the filly's spine yet she refused to notice it. She watched as he reared in desperation. He seemed to lose control for a brief moment. Quizzically she looked at him, saw his pools return to their soft borwn. Whatever he had been doing, it had taken its toll on him. He did not seem to be affected by her presence so Koha relaxed slightly and just watched him for a moment. He seemed so distraught by something and the flicka wished she could help. Spud was still resting and though it would have been more comforting if she was awake, their was still great comfort at her just being there. Slowly, inch by inch, Iti Koha crept towards the large stallion upon her slim pillars. Her amber flints cut into the sod to minamise her sound and to propell her along. Her mixed hide of white, browns and blacks shimmered and shon with healthiness and the dew she had picked up from the grass and trees. She reached the stallions side, a mere slip of a shadow compared to his great hulk. Slowly she raised her trembling mug and gently, ever so softly, placed her velvet maw against his sweaty shoulder. She could feel his dampness absorbing into her own soft hairs upon her mug but she continued to press it gently upon his hide. With it she sent forth comfort. The filly still remembered the touch that she had recieved when she was sleeping and whether or not it was a dream, she mustered all her being into sending forth the warmth and comfort she had received through that magic touch

The stallion's head jerked up as the filly gently put her muscle on his shoulder. He had forgotten her but as he saw who it was he calmed himself and lowered his head again. "I am sorry." He told her. Some shame was showing on his handsome features. She hadn't been meant to see him in such a state, especially not so early. Maybe if she knew him better it might have been different. But this was what always happened, they saw his reactions to nothing and then they thought that something might be wrong with him and left. That was why he was often alone, and even though he didn't mind not having company he did still appreciate it when he did. Even though he had used as much magic as he had he did not feel tired, he felt the same as he always did even though his breathing was quite different. It almost seemed as if he couldn't get enough air into his lungs, he was breathing deeply and fast.[/blockquote]

Even though his actions had been frightful she had fought to remain calm and had succeded. Now she pulled her mug from his shoulder and gave him a small smile to dismiss his apology her eyes as bright and friendly as ever. She would not leave him. He had given her so much and she knew that there was something different about him. He had magic, alot of magic, and she guessed that magic had been behind his actions beforehand. Besides, if she left she would have no where to go. For who would want a small filly, incapable of doing anything of real use and one who had just discovered her powers. He had accepted her, so she accepted him. He did not have to explain to her. A slight look of worry cast over her ambers as he continued to breath as if he had finished a race for life or death. Koha wondered if it had been something similar. Are you okay? she questioned quietly in her soft, sweet vocals

The small shape on the filly's back awoke and became visible. The stallion glanced sideways at it and started to trembly. The sight that he had seen of the small creature with the sapphire tears filled his mind. he could hear again the pleading dry voice that asked him to help them, could see again the fear in the eyes and faces of the two horses and the creature. It was quite a strange this to see such a large stallion as himself trembling. He could not find words to tell the filly how much he had seen and he did not wish to give her the burden of knowing what he had to do, what he had to stop from happening. It would be unfair to her for him to do so. He shut his eyes, wondering whether she would understand that he could not answer her, that he himself did not even know whether he was fine or not. He was not the type to just say that he was fine when he wasn't or he would have done that now but it was not the truth and he did not like to lie much. Sigh was given as his breathing began to return to normal and he seemed to calm down but he was still trembling. The small creature on the filly's back rubbed her eyes and yawned as she woke from her long deep sleep. She had slept longer than she normally did and it was only because it hadn't been that long before she had been created. She would share much of her strength with the filly too but only if she needed it and something like that would cause her to have to rest a bit more too. She saw the stallion trembling and she noted the sweat covering his whole hide. Her face became sad as she flew to him and put her tine arms aroun dhis large neck, trying to comfort him even though she too didn't know what was wrong. She didn't even look to the filly as she knew that the filly too didn't know what had happened. Most of the knowledge that the filly had Spud already knew, and because of that barely any questions would be asked between the two of them unless it was the filly asking them.

Koha felt the little creature wake and she turned her sweet face to watch her. Watching as Spud flew to the stallion to comfort him as the flicka had tried to be before hand. The stallion seemed lost for words and quietly the filly nodded her understanding. Though she was young in age, she had wisdom beyond her years. Whole generations of knowledge and maturity within her possesion. Her whole herd had been involved with her training and upbringing. It had been interrupted with the arrival of the humans but she still had much in her young mind. Touching the stallion's shoulder once more with her velvet mug she side-stepped to the patch of greenery that had caught her eye the day before. Lowering her dial, she nibbled at the blades. Not really hungry, she was just looking for something normal and casual to do whilst the stallion regainsed himself. She did not mind that she was not involved with his buisness. Youngsters were taught to repsect adults in her family. So it stuck, and she gave him his space. Still, she was worried and a small amount of fear crept in her heart. Whatever the stallion had seen, it had been something to worry about. Koha had seen the look in his friendly brown orbs as he saw Spud. She was worried for her little friend. Perhaps the future held something bad for her. The ficka had a great desire to touch Spud, to nuzzle her, and to reasure herself that she was there, that she was whole. Though Spud had only been created the day before, Iti Koha felt a deep bond and attatchment to the colourful being and it would tear at her if anything was to happen. Pushing these thoughts from her young mind, the filly focused her thoughts on grazing though it wasnt too intersting

The stallion opened his eyes and forced himself to calm down. His breathing was back to normal now as he turned his gaze towards the filly. The little creature that had been hugging his neck now let go and went back to the filly. "I really am sorry Koha, you weren't supposed to see me like that." His voice was quiet and ashamed as he moved closer to her and nuzzled her apologeticaly. His eyes were somewhat sad but the calmness had returned to him as his muscles stopped tensing and the sweat started to dry on his coat as the sun started shining on him.

As soon as Koha saw Spud heading her way, she lifted her dial and shoved her muzzle towards the creature. It connected with Spuds warm little body and the filly blew out gently, her warm meadow breath mixing with Spuds body warmth. Comfort flowed within the filly and it was increased as the stallion spoke and nuzzled her. Her fear subsided even though the stallion still looked worried and sad. Shaking her head the flicka broadened her smile and with a shrug spoke calmly It was something bad wasnt it? she could not help it when her gaze shot to Spud for a brief moment then back. She wasnt asking if it was anything bad about Spud but about the land, just a general question one would think from her tones. Yet there was a serious glaze to her amber pools. Is it a battle? Or a war? she wondered if it was anything as serious as that. A place she had passed on by in her wanderings was a place wreaked with the havoc of a war that had broken out between alliances a few years back. It had been a land of suffering and sadness. Many had lost their lives and neither side had gained anything except loss. Appart from that the small being had never been a part of anything like a battle or war. Nor did she want to. Once again she sought Spud and nuzzled her for comfort before looking once more to the stallion

The stallion nodded at her question and shook his head at her second. His eyes were closed as he spoke. "It is something far, far worse than a battle or a war." It was true. What he had seen had not been a battle, nor had it been a war, many battles and many wars would have caused what he had seen but that was not why it was so important to him. He knew that he needed to keep it from happening but he didn't know how. He sighed again and kept his eyes shut. Spud kept comforting the little filly, knowing that she was worried about the stallion just as much as she herself was. Spud went and sat on the filly's head, entwining herself half with the filly's forlock so that she would not fall off if the filly moved suddenly. She was smiling pleasantly as she listened to the stallion's words and then waited for the filly's reaction. She would follow the conversation soundlessly until she too had something to add to it. It was what she always did. She was looking down at the filly as she waited for her to say something again.
