You call me wench yet you stand beside me like I'm your lover, make a choice or leave me be. She spoke in her odd tones, and yet she made no attempt to move from his side, no attempt to run. Ebony orbs graced with fire watched him, as her tassles caught in the breeze. She saw his hock arch, so he was in pain. She pushed her weight against his, giving him the hint he could lean on her to take his weight off his leg. She wouldn't run again, that much was obvious. She was tired and hungry and acheing slightly from all this running, and she felt warm beside him in the midst of all this ice and cold. She shook her dial sending a cascade of banners over her nape like an exotic wildfire, her orbs danced over the land, no sight of other horses, no other stags, no other faes, and there was something pleasing in that thought, yet she wasn't sure what. He chuckled to himself as she complained once more about him calling her wench. Did she not realise that with him this was not an insult but just something to call her. She really needed to stop her worrying. ”You’re a foolish horse to worry about such things as what one calls you. Do you not realise that it has no importance. Call me whatever you wish for it won’t make a difference to me and you shouldn’t care either.” He didn’t really care whether she listened to him or not, it was just his opinion and it didn’t have to be hers too. He snorted as she pushed against him slightly to let him know that he could lean against her and this too was amusing for she would not be able to hold his weight if he did. He put his muzzle down and pressed it against his leg, it felt like he had been standing in a fire. The heat that came from it almost made him withdraw his muzzle fast and had he been any other horse he would have but he kept it there for a moment longer, letting the heat burn his sensitive nose before he finally withdrew it with a snort. He didn’t put his leg back on the ground but kept it half up in the air so that there was no chance of him putting any weight on it. What more could this mare do to cause him pain? At least the gash that the ship had left had now dried up and it was only a dark mark on his otherwise gleaming coat.

She snorted. She was stronger than she looked, and she danced away from his side at his comment, far enough for him to realise she didn't care either way. She looked at him, ebon orbs dancing with lucrid fires and she spoke. So, new question then. What do you want? She had a feeling she already knew, but this stag was a strange one, and it made her wonder if she actually did know or not. Ebon tassles danced about her orbs as the wind picked up once more, and she lowered her maw to touch her leg once, before looking to the skys.

He was almost surprised when she asked him what he wanted. It was such a strange question but he could only expect it. ”I want nothing.” his harsh icy tones was clear but it did not quite sound truthful and with good reason for it was not quite the truth even if it was not quite a lie. He did not want what any normal stag would want from a mare and that was quite a normal thing for him, he was different from most in many ways and this was no exception. But in truth he did not quite know what he wanted from her himself and that was why her question had surprised him so much. His side was suddenly cold as she moved away from him but he made no reaction. He waited to see what she would say next, a smirk on his face.

She smirked suddenly, ivorys twisted ina smile as cold as the earth around them. Then you don't mind if I leave. She stepped away, wlaking carefully across the ice stained land, each hock graceful, each movement flawless, auds pricked the way she was walking, orbs taking in each inch of the land. There had been no challenge in her words, just a statement, like any other spoken true, unlike his own words.

”You should know by now that that won’t happen.” He said as he turned and trotted to catch up with her before walking right next to her, close enough so that he could feel her warmth. There was no trace of a limp as he walked even though his leg was still throbbing and would be for a long time. He stepped lightly on it, putting as little weight on it as he could even though it was not visible to anyone no matter how closely they studied his movements. Muscles were tensed from the pain as he walked though he did not stop or go any slower than she herself did.

Yes, but yet you refuse to tell me why. Her orbs turned to him and she stopped walking, auds catching his words, flame body standing frozen catching his warmth in her pelt. Ebon locks dusted her facade as she waited for him to speak, or move, and yet she was in no hurry. She knew he was in pain, she could see it, feel it even, it was there even if he wasn't aware she knew. She stood, frozen waiting.

When he stopped right next to her he lifted his leg again so that all weight was taken off of it. The throbbing had gotten worse because of the walking. ”There is no reason. Even if there is need for one.” This time his words were actually truthful for there really was no reason for him to want her to stay with him instead of leaving. It was quite strange really that this should be the case for usually there was a reason for everything but not this time and not for him. He did things because he felt like it, because he wanted to do it and not because there was a reason to do it. He never really thought about what he was doing or what he is about to do, what needs to happen will happen.

Porcelain fae stood outlined agaisnt the terra, dark ebony orbs searching the land for movement, fragile frame outcasted beside the stag beside her as she leant against him like a fae would her mate. Her ebony tassels danced about her eyes as the breeze once more picked up, and she didn't even seem to recognise the first signs of snow, to content in her own peace of mind with this unknown named stag. She snorted as a flake landed on her delicate dial, and looked to the skys as if she was ready to leap into it. No, she remained by his side, not answering his words with her own sweet voice, not speaking at all until one word erupted from her maw like soft waves of gossamer silk. Snow.

He could feel the signs of snow, he knew it all too well. He could also feel her lean against him but he didn’t care, even with her weight pushing against him he could still keep his injured leg up off the ground so that no weight would be put on it. He snorted as he felt the first soft snowflakes start to drift down from the sky and land on his warm bodice to melt and make little patches of wetness appear. ”There is snow everywhere, even if you don’t know it.” His words were almost too quiet to have been meant for someone other than himself and it sounded almost thoughtful as he shut his eyes. He ached to see the white brilliance of the land around him and the knowledge that he couldn’t made him somewhat angry for he had done nothing to deserve the blindness that he had.

She glanced towards him as he spoke. You speak as though thinking out loud stag. She watched him shut his orbs, still not guessing that he was blind as she placed her maw on his nape for no reason other than to wipe away an unmelted snow flake. Ebony banners sweapt about her, the sky turning lucrid white with majestic beauty as she looked on it, she was unaware he could not see it and all it's beauty, and her only thought at that moment was on how beautiful it all was. He hadn’t realised that he had spoken that thought out loud and it was a good thing that it had been that one and not the others that had followed it. He snorted as if dismissing the whole idea that he had been speaking as if thinking and ignored the fact that she had put her maw on his nape. No reaction was given to anything as he just stood there with his own thoughts. A wave of pity swept over him and he knew that she was back. She had known about his blindness and could probably tell how he felt but he didn’t care. He snorted and tossed his head slightly to make her go away and she did.

She sighed and spoke calmly. So, do we stand here admireing this beauty or return to your herd, stag? She turned her gaze to him, watching snow flakes settle before her ebony orbs like misty clouds. She blinked and tossed her banners, before stamping a hock lightly to rid the snow from her side.

Admire the beauty. Such a usual thing to say and to ask one that could see but he could not. He could not admire the beauty that was before him even if he knew what it should look like. But he did not, even before he had turned blind he had never seen snow. Maybe that was why it was something that he loved so much now. The harshness of its touch interested him for at other times its touch would be gentle and soft, much like now. He snorted and started walking slowly, still not putting much weight on his leg but without limping or showing any sign of his injury. ”We’ll go home.” He spoke now as if it was her home too and not just his and it was for she was his now. Even if she did not quite agree with that.

She showed no sign of not agreeing, as she stayed in step with him, each graceful stride taking as to keep up with him. Ebon banners now streaked with snow, made her seem odder than ever, and still there was that fiery look that told of darkness inside, and the ebony depth to her sweet orbs glowing with lucrid emotions created of fire and ice combined showed that she had no fear of the stag she now walked beside. No fear at all. The angry stallions cry within her mind had all but been ignored for the last few moments, and now it would seem as if the stag had given up trying to direct her away from the brute she now walked beside. She didn't mind. It mattered little to her in this land of billowing beauty, stirred with the occasional gust of wind spraying snowflakes about like sunflower petals. She spoke calmly, almost silently in the whiteness. Home it is.
