A gray mare walked into the land. She looked around the snowy place and she shook herself. The land was cold, but so was her heart. So she blended in well. She walked over to a small cave and walked in. She turned around and looked out. She could see all of the land here with her red eyes. If a stallion came, then she would know. She let a loud whinney echo through the land. It was a call for a dark stallion to come and get her. She shook her mane once more, and it went over her eyes. She waited in the cold, icy place.

The ebony mare wandered these lands often. Bringing in equines to help her in her quest. Now she wasn't really looking but when she heard another mares call her ears perked. She could tell now that it was dark mare having not even seen her she could tell just by her voice. She followed the noise to a cave. There stood a gray mare no doubt the maker of the call.
She walked strongly as she always did. Stepping before the mare so that they could speak perhaps even she could be in the herd. He nodded her head in greeting to the mare. "I am Leravix. What is your calling?" She hated giving her name first but in the situation it was a fitting action as she stood standing out against the ice and snow.

"I am Nyx. Greetings." Her reddish eyes calmed down into a dull red. She knew the mare was dark, so she didn't need to fend for herself. The dark one wouldn't hurt her. She swished her tail, getting the water drops off of it from the ceiling above her. She watched the mare, not knowing what she wanted.

She thought for a moment as she looked about the mare. Thinking what the best choice of action would be. Bluntness wasn't really her taste but indeed in some situations, such as this she found it worked quiet well. So now she held her head up a little bit higher not threatening but showing authority. "I seek mares for my herd. How well can you fight?" Yes it was all she really needed to know. She already liked the mare's attitude so the only problem was if she was a terrible fighter . Though she didn't think it would matter, if the mare was smart she could be in anyway. After all what is a group of warriors without minds to lead them?

The gray fae looked at the mare. "I fight like a stallion." It was true. She had a scar on her neck, covered by her mane, that was from her fight with a stallion. His life had ended that day. She shook her mane and sighed. "Is that okay?" Her voice wasn't scared, or frightened. She just wanted to make sure that was fine.

She gave a dark smile to the mare. "I know I'm being terribly blunt. But frankly I don't care. I need mares for my herd and you need a home. So come along and we shall both fix our problem." She spoke in a matter of fact way. She needed more mares for her land, it seemed so empty now, though she was gaining mares every day. She would be the second and they would only need a few more. They would train and be battle ready and then take on new lands. Achieving an empire that would later be given on to the fillies. So that was the option she gave the mare. Stay and wait for some stupid stallion or come with her and live among the strong. She turned slightly ready to walk away but staying to hear her reply.

The gray mare grinned. "I will join your herd." She shook her mane and began to follow after the mare. She wondered if she could help this fae lead her land, unless she already had someone. She swished her tail and followed her. Her mind was thinking of all of her skills that she had to show this fae. She had many, but some were hard that she hadn't used for a long time.
