Koha watched the mare for a bit. She seemed like a kindly creature, a mother with a boastrus son. Koha knew the look. Many mares in her family herd had had that look about them with their colts. Smiling politly back to the mare, the filly's attention was soo diverted from the mother to the son. He was interesting to watch, prancing about all arched up. Rearing and playing he came up to her. Koha's soft eyes never left him as she watched him carefully. Flicking her tail, she took a moment before answering him I am not lonely. I have Spud she did not go into explanation only continued to watch him. She was shy around him, for she had not been with one her own age for a long while. She gave him a gentle half smile to offer friendliness between them but apart from that, kept her tongue to herself

The colt looked slightly skeptical as he watched her and she claimed to have the company of 'Spud'. Whoever or whatever spud might be. Maybe the filly was so lonely that she had an imaginary friend. His strong neck was arched as he stood and watched her, his conformation was flawless and his muscles were already strong. It seemed strange, he was like a miniature stallion even though he was already rather big for his age. It seemed like his father would have been quite a big horse. "Spud?" He decided that he might as well question her and find out what this 'spud' was. Maybe it was something interesting that could amuse him too. A frown creased his handsome features as he asked the question and his head was still cocked sideways sligtly. He was a handsome young stallion, if you want to call him that, but sometimes these little things that he did made him look younger than he really was. He shook his head, making his mane fly sideways before settling on his neck again nicely. His tail was already rather long and quite smooth. It seemed strange but suited him somehow. Everything about him was quite strange, it was hard to tell how old he actually was. He stepped towards her, but more to the side of her. He walked slowly around her, watching her the whole while and waiting for her answer. He wasn't frowning anymore, the only thing on his face was a calm happiness.
Spud watched this young horse, intrigued by what she knew of him from the knowledge that she shared with the big stallion that had created her. He seemed everything that he needed and was expected to be. Except that he didn't have the manners that was needed of him. She had the feeling that something bad might happen if he didn't get those manners soon but she couldn't tell. She stayed invisible, unsure of the presence of this young horse.

Koha blinked quickly at his questioning stance and tone, suddenly worried. She did not want to share Spud with someone she did not know. They were similar though, both large for their age and finly built with looks full of grace and beauty inherited from their parents. Both held themselves with pride and youth. Yet while the colt was large yet looked impish and young, the seperation from her herd and living alone had aged the filly and she gave everything thought more then a young horse should. She remained silent, looking down at her amber hooves. She felt like shifting the sands with her mind, yet again, was unsure of the colt. He was handsome and gave a powerful essence. Much like the large stallion. Koha glanced to the titan and her shyness evaporated slightly. Looking back to the colt, she brought her slender sloping shoulders up into a casual shrud and grinned back at him, trying to act cool calm and collected. Her own beauty was bright and bold with every line and movement. Her mother was a creature of supreme beauty, something one would mistake for a goddess of some sort. Koha inherited some of her beauty, yet it was her father she mostly resembled. Brown soaked ears swivelled round, listening to the bird calls and animal sounds She is a friend. She isnt here. You might meet her later. Nevermind now she chortled before swinging round to walk to the stream. Still able to feel Spuds slight weight on her back, she walked to the water and took a long drink. Finishing, the delicate flicka turned back and nosed at the fresh grass, soaking up the sunlight and flicking her gaze back and forth from the colt

His black pillars carried him after the filly, a playful expression on his handsome features as he nipped at her haunches then passed her to walk in front before stopping and then turning towards her. His features were questioning again. "Spud isn't the strange thing you had with you when we first came, before it disappeared?" He remembered now that there had been a strange little creature with the filly when he and his mother had first arrived but then it had disappeared from view. He didn't wait long for an answer before turning to the stream and walking into the shallow water. It was cold but pleasant on this warm day. He reared up and splahed back into the water, sending a spray of water everywhere. His tail flicked from one side to the other as a reaction to the drops falling onto his haunches. He snorted and neighed loudly, making the stallion look down at him but then looking back to what he was staring at before. The colt glanced at the filly, stamping a hoof into the water to make it splash towards her.

Lifting her tiara to watch the colt, Koha flared her nostrils slightly taking in the warm spring scents around her. She was in a happy mood and getting calmer by the minute. She had already made up in her mind that the colt was a nosy, impish thing much like other colts, yet there was much about him she had not made her mind up about for she did not have him totally figured. Shrugging again, her velvet kissers parted to release lyrics that were sweet and getting louder and more full of confidence each time they were let loose Spud isnt strange, nor is she an 'it' sidestepping smoothly from the splash of water sent her way, the flicka glanced at the stallion as an impish thought of her own crossed her mind. How easy it would be to trip the colt and make him soaked by just a toss of her head. With just that toss, the sand on the river bottem would shift aside, taking his legs with it. It would not hurt but it would sure be funny to watch. Her gaze left the large stallion and fixed upon the large colt once more. A cheeky sort of grin lifted her features yet she banished the thought of using her powers for fun with a gentle shake of her crown. As she did, Koha caught sight of a largish rock. Suddenly her cheeky playful thoughts came back and with a larger grin, she spun round and let loose her dainty yet powerful heels. Colliding with the large rock at the same time Koha fxed her mind on moving it, the rock went soaring through the air and landed right infront of the colt, sending a wave to engulf some of his body and splash upon his face. Swinging herself back around Koha giggled a little before giving him a haughty look before going back to her grazing

He snorted at her words and rolled his eyes then put his nose down to the water, sniffing it. He took another sip of the cold water then saw movement in it. The huge wave of water that came over him suprised him and he reared up, tossing his head and shaking it to get rid of the water. He snorted again, looking very unhappy with what she had done. He turned his back on the filly after trotting out of the water and then starting to graze. He swished his tail from side to side without a sound.

Amused, she lifted her head to watch him. She laughed at his actions and suddenly felt completly relaxed. A butterfly wandered past her nose, its dusted wings causing her whickers to tickle and her nose to twitch. A snort and a sneeze followed. Shaking her head gently. Optics narrowed in a mishcievious way, Koha looked upon the colt, wondering what she could do next. Carefully, she put her mind to the task of shifting the sandy dirt at his hind feet. It had to be done in all silence. Targeting his right hock, she built up a small, slim pillar of sand which in a blink of an eye had wrapped itself around the colts leg and collapsed in the same instant, the grains running down his hock and over his hoof like water. It wasnt much but he would have felt it, like a tickling sensation of long vines or grass wrapping around your leg. Koha wondered if he would notice or look or pay any attention what so ever

With each swish of the long black tail the air seemed to get hotter, from side to side it went, hotter and hotter. The colt shook his mane and his ears twitched in annoyance at the sudden heat of the day, making his tail swish faster and the air grow hotter. He bit off some more grass and chewed slowly and disgustedly, the taste of the grass had suddenly grown dry and rather gross. He snorted and let his tongue hang out from his mouth for a moment or two. He turned back to the stream and stepped towards it a bit and dipped his nose into it before he could even take a sip of the water he threw up his head in surprise. It angered him even more now, the water wasn't nice and icy but had suddenly turned warm. His ears and muscles twitched at the heat of the air and his tail kept swishing. It was already really hot and getting worse. He stamped a hoof and a small tremble ran through the earth, he was furious now. Not with the filly, no, he rather liked her, but with the whole day being so hot and stale suddenly. He stamped his forehoof again, hard, and another tremble went through the earth. It was worse this time. It surprised him quite a bit and he jumped, his ears perked forward as he watched the earth curiously and his tail stopped swishing. The air was slowly cooling down now that his tail had stopped swishing. He cocked his head slightly in curious thought, then he struck the earth again with his hoof but nothing happened. He frowned as he tried again but still nothing happened.

Koha twitched her nose at the sudden heat. Taking her bodice the the slightly cooler shade of a large oak, the flicka watched the colt. Curiously she watched his tail. It seemed to be getting hotter each time he switched that stunning long banner of his. Did he not know this? Obviously not, thought Koha, since he was getting furious at the increasing heat. Her own breath was getting laboured for she needed fresh oxygen and not this heated up air. As soon as he had stopped swishing the air was getting cooler. Relieved, the flicka drooped her head, lids drooping to cover her soft golden orbs. Yet her recovering peace was interupted as the earth trembled. Lids flew open yet dish remained down. Her gaze lifted to the colt once more as he stomped again and the earth gave forth another, more violent tremble. Koha found it easy to keep her footing, for she was one with the earth. Slowly she looked up, in time to see the colt try and try again to create the tremble. Slowly she walked to his side. They stood side by side, close to one another, closest they had ever been. Koha realised what had been going on. It was strange, having the knowledge. Yet it wasnt all her. Reading the earth, she had learnt what fuelled the colts power. Your power is fuelled by your emotion her soft voice would only be heard by her, the colt and Spud. It was soft, soothing. She wondered at the extent of his power. The flicka knew it would be great. He inherited it through his sire no doubt. Gaze switched to the stallion before flicking back to the colt. Softly she snorted before continuing her explanation to the colt. You cannot control it yet, for you have not realised. You need to be trained. You quaked the earth because you were frustrated and so your strong emotion tapped into your power suddenly embarressed to be talking like and adult to a colt that was older then her, Koha looked down to her amber hooves, which she dug into the friendly earth

Chestnut bodice trembled slightly at the shock of the earth moving underneath her dainty hooves. Fearful eyes watched the great stallion to see if it would be allright or not. Never had she felt the earth move so fast and so much as it had just done, it had been an earthquake had it not? But such things did not happen in the kingdom that she was in unless it was the doing of another horse. The quaking of the earth had distracted her from getting slightly troubled by the heat of the air, she didn't even notice now that it had cooled down. Only one thought was given to the young colt but she had glanced at him and he had seemed fine so there was nothing to trouble about there. But why had the earth moved?
Eyes did not leave the earth under him as he listened to the words the filly spoke to him. Why did she know so much about what had happened when he did not? His tail was still and the air cool around them. His hooves were planted firmly on the ground and the earth did not move. His frustration and slight annoyance had vanished and so had all the power he had had to do what he had done to both the earth and air. How had it happened anyway, and why? He snorted and nodded his head to show the filly that he understood what she was telling him. "Why do you know so much?" He asked her, curious but not at all affected by the fact that she was talking to him as if she was an adult and he a mere foal even though he was older than she. He lifted his head, automatically archinghis muscled neck as he did so, and looked at her. He hadn't noticed how close she was standing to him until now. He didn't really care that much about it though, had it been most other times he would have moved sideways to bump into her with a look that was both playful and mischievious. He did wonder about how she knew about what had fuelled his power and that he had a power in the first place but he supposed that it didn't matter much. His tail swished but only once and nothing happened, there was no anger to make the air grow hot around them.
Great bodice was turned around so swiftly it was almost strange, he knew what had made the earth tremble underneath his hooves and he didn't much like it. Not now, not yet. It wasn't time for this to happen, he wasn't disciplined enough for this yet. Bad things would come of this day. He saw the mare watching him, trembling, and he nodded his head to tell her that all was well. She visibly relaxed then and he turned his attention towards the colt. He saw the filly standing next to him and that the colt's attnetion was on her, what was she telling him? It wasn't time for him to know yet of his potential, even if it was not his full potential. He snorted and watched them a moment but then decided not to interfere and to wait and see what would happen.
The shaking of the earth had made Spud appear, she was shaken up but the filly's calmness made her a bit less fearful. She watched the colt curiously as she held onto the filly's mane for security. She listened to what they were saying but she stayed silent.

As is zapped by a small friendly force, Koha knew instantly that Spud had come into visability. Snapping her dish up back to its rightful height, she turned her pretty dish to her friend, nothing but sheer delight upon her features. Though Spud was higher up on the flicka's neck, Koha could just reach around to nuzzle some part of her. Doing so, she noticed the stallions attention upon the colt and herself. Also the anxious look. The mare too had a look of slight discomfort but Koha got a feeling it was for different reasons, for they were both so very different horses. Looking again to the colt, she thought up an answer to his question. Gently shrugging, once again, she looked to the water, watching the sun reflect of the playful, rippling liquid Stories I spose she said in a quiet, off handed sort of way. She wanted to keep her power hidden from him for the moment, for she was still unsure of herself. Using them infront of the stallion and Spud was one thing. The colt was another. She did not know what to say to how she knew so much about him and his powers and did not want to go further into it. She knew little and so much uncontrolled power scared her slightly. She gave him another shrug and a friendly smile before wandering into the water, which was now cool. Her coat was itching her since it had been layered in a light sweat with the intense heat. Now that it was cooler it had dried and she wished to bath herself to cool down completly and wash her coat. Gently lowering herself to her knees, so Spud would be rattled as little as possible, the flicka layed in the running water, it only coming up to below her shoulder where she chose to lay. Curiously, with intent yet soft golden orbs, Koha watched this strange colt

Spud flew up off of the filly's neck and into the air so that she could go down lower. Her wings fluttered so much that you could barely see them, the only way you knew that they were there was because they blurred the air slightly. She turned and watched the colt, giving a slight smile of something similar to embarrassment. She hadn't meant for him to see her, really.
He watched the filly as she went and lay down in the water, he spotted the strange creature. He watched her with a frown, somewhat confused as to what she was. "I suppose this is Spud then? Not an imaginary friend after all." He put his muzzle forwards towards the create to sniff her, she was strange and he had no idea what to think of her.
The stallion saw that nothing was happening to make the matter worse and so went down to stand next to the mare, touching her neck in a reassuring way before starting to graze.

Submerging herself a little more when Spud flew off, Koha watched her friend and scoffed at the colt I am not a baby, and I do not need imaginary friends. Even when I was younger, I didnt make them up. Thats just silly she felt slightly offended but not angry. She was not one to get angry but she was always ready to prove herself and prove she was not a silly little filly. Gently rolling over so she was completly soaked and also so she had her back facing him Of cause that is Spud. her tones were back to their quietness and she let her lids droop as the water rythmicly danced over her slight frame

The words of the filly barely reached the colt as his attention was focussed on the strange creature in front of him. He inspected her, looking at her strange form, he was intrigued by her. After a while he was bored with her, well not really, but almost. He snorted softly and turned to the filly. He had never made up imaginary friends either and thought that it was silly as well but he would just say nothing.
Her little wings just kept fluttering as she let the colt inspect her, she was inspecting him as well. He seemed nice enough but she wasn't really sure. As he finished having all his attention on her she flew down to the ground and went to sit on a rock, letting her feet hang in the water.

Koha found Spud with her eyes and in a playful manner, wiggled her way over to the small creature. It wasnt too hard to move about for the stream bed was smooth and Koha could easily manipulate it to move herself without any hassels. She made it to the rock where her dearest friend was and cheeky took a mouthful of water to spray at Spud. It wasnt alot nor was it sprayed very hard but it was enough to give Spud a cooldown. Giggling, Koha wiggled back a little way off and watched Spud with bright orbs. She could feel the colts attention on her and finally looked his way You never said you name. Nor did your mother. What is it? golden orbs locked onto his and she watched him in silence after asking her question

The colt watched her and swished his tail in though at her question. He wasn't sure whether he should answer it or not. "I don't have a name." He decided that he might as well tell her. It couldn't do any harm. There was no heat being created from his swishing tail now. It was almost as if nothing had happened at all.
The little creature did nothing as the water was sprayed on he rbut giggle a little. She let herself lay down on the warmish rock in the sun.

Puzzled the flicka looked to him Why dont you have a name? Why hasnt your mother given you one? I was named as soon as I was born by my mother and father. That was how it was in my family yawning, Koha raised herself from the water and made her way to the back to the warm sand. Flopping down rather uncerimoniusly, the flicka rubbed her side against the warm, pleasent sand

He didn't like all these questions about his name, or rather his lack of one. He snorted before answering. "I don't know." His answer was a bit rough and slightly harsh this time. He wasn't too annoyed, yet. He flicked his tail hard but only once then turned around so that his backside was to her and then started to graze. Even though he didn't eat any of the grass but just sniffed it.

Koha lifted her gaze to his harsh vocals and watched as he turned round. Rolling her merry golden orbs, the flicka rolled over the the other side, kicking her dainty amber hooves high in the air. The sand warmed and dried her other side now and she gently moved it around underneath her to rub her sides. It was a pleasing feeling and soon sent her into a light doze. Thought as soon as she was sleeping, her powers ceased to be active

The colt noticed that she was starting to doze and he started walking. He ignored the stallion and his mother as he kept walking. He didn't care where he was going but he was tired of this place even though he hadn't been here that long yet. He snorted and started trotting down the path that led into the forest.
